Josh and Jenny Kidd
Missionaries to Cape Verde
Both Jenny and Josh were raised in Christian homes and attended Independent Baptist churches while growing up. They both accepted Christ as Savior and were baptized as children.
On June 24th, 2000 in Deerwood, MN, they were married in the church that Jenny grew up in. In 2009, they moved back to Josh’s hometown of Shinglehouse, PA. God blessed them with 3 children: Carissa, Elizabeth, and Sarah. THEN, in 2016, through the foster care system, God brought Robert, Natalie, and Carver into their lives.
Within 2 months, the adoption process was started and then finalized on May 19th, 2017. They continue to grow and adjust as a family. To date, 5 of their 6 children have repented of their sins and asked Christ to be their Savior and also have been baptized. Praise God!! God’s goodness has been so evident that they can’t help but to give Him the praise.
While in Shinglehouse, they were faithful members of Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church. Jenny served as nursery coordinator, children’s Sunday School teacher, Hostess for church functions, Children’s club leader, and filled in wherever needed. Josh served on the Missions Committee and as a Deacon, was treasurer of the Memorial Fund, mowed church lawns, co-led the Junior Church program, attended the Bible Institute, and filled in wherever else was needed.
On November 22nd, 2015, during a missions update at GBIBC, God gave such a clear call to go and serve Him in Cape Verde that it was undeniably God speaking to them. In June of 2017, they moved to Seymour, MO to be a part of Preach Evangelistic Ministries and began a 1-year training program.
