Verse of the Day

Quotes from the Faithful
"Jesus will judge us not only for what we did, but also for what we could have done and didn't." - George Otis "When I left England, my hope of India's conversion was very strong; but amongst so many obstacles, it would die, unless upheld by God. Well, I have God, and His Word is true. Though the superstition of the heathen were a thousand times stronger than they are, and the example of the Europeans a thousand times worse; though I were deserted by all and persecuted by all, yet my faith, fixed on the sure Word, would rise above all obstructions and overcome every trial. God's cause will triumph." - William Carey (Missionary, Bible Translator, and much more to India)

Dear Pastor and Church Family,

"I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images."  Isaiah 42:8

At times during our lives and more specifically during the tenure of our ministry, we forget who it’s for.  We allow personal achievements, personal gain in the glorification of our name be the driving force in our lives and purpose to our service to Christ.  We must not forget it’s for His glory!  Our jobs as the ambassadors of Christ should be to proclaim His glory, never to endow it upon ourselves.  We as heralds of light should go forth into a dark world remembering the only reason for service to our LORD is the glorification of His name.

I want to "Thank you" for your continued prayer and support.  My trips to Cape Verde and Cuba were very profitable and with the Lord’s help we were able to accomplish much for His glory.

In Cape Verde we were able to pass out close to 40,000 New Testaments.  We witnessed 74 people accept Christ as their personal Saviour.  Glory to His Name!

I also had the privilege of going to Cuba with veteran missionaries Jim and Melissa Roe.  They are missionaries with First Baptist Church of Milford Ohio.  While I was there I learned several principles and tactics on how to minister in countries where the gospel is not permitted.

Following those trips I had the opportunity to participate in 3 weeks of mission conferences in Kentucky and Missouri.  In August I resumed my second year of Bible college at Biblical School of World Evangelism in Milford Ohio.

Prayer Requests

Pray that the Lord will continue to use me in my areas of service and also instruct me in the things of His word.  I would also appreciate your prayers for my family as they are in Cape Verde West Africa.

For His Honor and Glory,
Phillip Pritchard
